ENGAGED: Leslie & Colin

MARRIED: Lindsay & Jeff

MARRIED: Emily & Ari

Emily & Ari's "getting ready" was something I'd never seen before. Everyone (bride, bridesmaids, groom, groomsmen, family) all hanging out together in the bridal suite ahead of time. A really cool idea, and set the relaxed fun tone for the entire day.

The fabulous wedding party. The bridesmaids all wore their own selection of little black dress, while the groomsmen wore khakiis with black Polo shirts.

MARRIED: Kyoko & Han

I knew when I pulled up to Kyoko's parents' home in West Hartford, and I saw the front yard filled with about 300 flowers, this was going to be a GORGEOUS wedding! and boy was I right. From beginning to end, the day was filled with beauty - not to mention family and fun!

Kyoko's makeup was done by Janice from Naomi's Studio & Salon

Could the flower girl BE any cuter?

The proud parents

The staircase and landing were beautiful and the perfect backdrop for a quick bridal portrait or two

I love a happy bride!

The Society Room - one of my favorite venues

On an average day, The Society Room is by far one of (if not THE) most beautiful venues around. But I have to give really LOUD shout outs to the following vendors who just dialed it up to 11 :) Jessica's Country Flowers for her breathtaking arrangements, Tony at AfterHoursDJ's who did an amazing job with the lighting and keeping the dancefloor full all night. And last but not least, my good friend Lynda from Details Weddings Planning who really pulled all the fabulous ideas/details together. It was also great to work with Fran Gagnon again who provided video for the day.

MARRIED: Michelle & Ryan

Michelle & Ryan's wedding was all about enjoying the day with eachother, family, friends, and beautiful surroundings.

Michelle's neice - flower girl

The ceremony was held in the field at the top of the hill overlooking the farm.

Michelle & Ryan's dogs stuck around for a photo or two

I absolutely loved this stable - it is the most beautiful and CLEANEST I've ever seen

Michelle was a beautiful bride - and so laid back - love that!

Michelle's Dad is a hunter and the stuffed Moose, Deer, and especially this bear! created very cool candids during the cocktail hour in the great room.

Lindsay & Talia from Sixpence for you Shoe arranged all the amazing details for this wedding.
It was also great to work with the fabulous David Lammey (videographer). We had a sneezing contest at different times during the day and night. We felt like complete city slickers :)

No, this is not Dr. Phil giving the couple some advice. It's their family friend who sereneded them for their first dance :)

ENGAGED: Krista & Ray

I shot Krista & Ray's engagement photos in Madison. We only got to spend a little less than an hour together but I think we got a lot of variety thanks to all the wardrobe changes :) Looking forward to the wedding!

ENGAGED: Meghann & Pat

Meghann & Pat's engagement photos were finally taken in their Milford neighborhood,, which I'm quite familiar with since Noel's Aunt/Uncle live there as well. I'm really looking forward to the wedding next month :)

MARRIED: Julie & Ben

Julie and Ben's wedding packed in a LOT...

We started the day with some getting ready portraits. Julie is a beautiful bride. I loved her shoes and the ankle bracelet with her new last name was a nice compliment.

The adoring flower girls

Ben coaches a Hartford girls soccer team, and they all showed up to support Ben at the wedding complete with face paint ("Ben/Julie") and uniforms.

Off to the Goodspeed Opera House park for a few formals before cocktails.

A family friend surprised Ben & Julie with a Mariachi Band at the cocktail
hour. Everyone loved it!

Julie's sister and matron-of-honor couldn't make the wedding because she had just delivered a baby days before. That didn't stop this crowd. They skyped her in (video-conference) and she was there remotely the whole wedding - and even gave a toast to wish the happy couple all the best.

SAFARI PARTY

Such a cool birthday idea! SAFARI PARTY

Each guest was given a safari hat and a pair of binoculars.

Love all the cool details: the monkey (and real bananas in the tree) was my favorite. But I also loved the animal cupcake toppers, and the favors complete with compass and stuffed elephant or snake.

One of the big highlights was "Tiny" the mechanical elephant. All the kids got a ride (and even some parents too :)

The beautiful birthday girl!

After the ride . . . a paw stamp.

The tattoo table was a big hit!

This party game was a favorite. The "Animal (Egg) Hunt". When the kids dropped their egg back in the basket they each had to make the sound of that animal.

Of course there was time for the playscape too!

Make a wish!

Happy Birthday Ava!
