Ashley & Casey 4.26.08

The Aqua Turf provided the setting for Ashley & Casey's wedding day. We took the getting ready pictures on the entrance way to the Wagon Room. Wall to wall windows made for great light although Ashley was a little nervous that Casey might see her beforehand. The whole wedding party was all about the "fun". I seem to remember meeting a few of them before :) Cheers! Noel

VALLEY VIEW

Okay...Noel and I don't get a lot of free time to watch TV. But every Thursday night we sit down together to watch our two favorite programs - The Office and Lost. Of course we TIVO it and start watching a half hour after everything starts so we don't have to waste time watching commercials :)

So, we're watching the folks at Dunder Mifflin, and you had to hear me SQUEAL with delight when they mentioned they were going to a job fair at VALLEY VIEW -- my alma mater!!! The fun continued when I saw "Go Cougars" in the gym! Whoever the technical advisor is on the show, she/he gets it right everytime. I felt like I was back in high school :)

Unfortunately, it wasn't the funniest episode ever, but I heart THE OFFICE just the same. Lunell

ENGAGED Stacie & Jeff 5.07.08

Had a great time with Stacie & Jeff. We went to Hubbard Park to catch the daffodils - just caught the last few. Lunell is shooting their wedding in September, but I wanted to do their engagement session and they happily agreed. Looking forward to Part II next week. Cheers, Noel

Boudoir Marathon recap

Well it was a great boudoir marathon weekend (with still 2 more girls being photographed later this week). We had lots of fun and I really appreciated all the thought and planning everyone put into it. The outfits, props (fiance's electric guitar :) and just the positive attitudes and energy. It was great meeting and getting to know you all, and your friends/sisters (who I turned into my personal lighting assistants - holding fans, reflectors, and video lights :) The champagne and strawberries probably helped, but you all were just so relaxed and great to work with. I know your guys are gonna love their books :)

Melissa & Nate 4.19.08

Another gorgeous April day! Melissa & Nate were married at the Church of the Redeemer. Melissa and all her girls got ready in a FABULOUS upstairs room with Nate and the guys downstairs. The ceremony was a beautiful family-affair with Nate's sister playing a gorgeous piece on the cello, and Melissa's brother delivering the homily. Afterwards it was off to New Haven for photos on the beach and reception at Lighthouse Point Park. Here are a few of my favorite images from the day! Lunell

Sara & Rod 4.19.08

First wedding of 2008 brought me back to one of my favorite towns -Old Wethersfield. Sara and Rod had most of their pictures taken there even though the ceremony was in Glastonbury at St. Augustines and the reception in Hartford at the Goodwin Hotel. I must say, I really enjoyed Sara and Rod's wedding - even the weather was just about perfect although the wind did kick up by evening and robbed Sara of her veil. Congratulations! Noel

Laura & Lawrence 4.12.08

On a day that began with torrential thunderstorms, everything brightened up in no time. Laura & Lawrence had a gorgeous almost-80-degree wedding day in April, and it just got better and better as they celebrated their wedding at the Candlewood Inn. Jennifer & Eric had an awesome wedding day on this first weekend of April '08. Fabulous weather! and a happy bride & groom! Everything (ceremony, formals, reception) took place at the Aqua Turf Club.
